The Current Situation of Blockchain Technology Application - A Perspective for Vietnam's Tourism Industry in the Context of Digital Transformation

Abstract

Digital transformation is the main trend in the development of all sectors of the economy on a global scale. A groundbreaking technology today is blockchain, which has changed the perception of the service sector. Businesses in the tourism industry are participating in the development and application of blockchain as an act that helps optimize and promote the service sector. By qualitative methodology, the paper deals with analyzing world and domestic practices on the use of blockchain in tourism; synthesize and generalize the general trend and advantages of blockchain application; At the same time, it forecasts the prospects of blockchain in the direction of improving the quality of customer service in Vietnamese conditions. The study also outlines the characteristics, conditions, advantages and disadvantages of implementing blockchain technology in the tourism industry. In order to meet the goal of developing our country's tourism industry in the process of international integration and adapting to the context of global digital transformation, the introduction of blockchain into the tourism industry needs to be effectively solved and evaluated; turning the use of blockchain platforms in the travel industry as a source of innovative services in the future
