Clinical Practice Competence and Associated Factors among Nursing Students at Dong A University

Abstract
The Clinical Practice Compentence of nursing students is an issue that needs attention. This study was conducted to evaluate the Clinical Practice Compentence of nursing students and identify related factors. Subjects and methods: A Cross-sectional study conducted from January 2024 to March 2024 on 168 nursing students which 3rd and 4th year at Dong A University. Results: The Clinical Practice Compentence of Nursing students is 3.64 ± 0.46. Factors related to Clinical Practice Compentence include: gender, year of student, academic performance, and smoking (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The results show that the Clinical Practice Compentence of Nursing students is at an average level. Many measures are needed to further improve and enhance students’ Clinical Practice Competence to meet Nursing Competency Standards in Vietnam
