The Need to Use Telemedicine Services in the Management, Treatment and Care of People with Schizophrenia in Danang City.

Abstract
Objectives: Determine the proportion of patients and/or caregivers of schizophrenia patients about the need to use telemedicine services in the management, treatment and care schizophrenia patients and the related factors to the need to use telemedicine services in the management, treatment and care schizophrenia patients. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from January 2023 to August 2023 on 378 patients and/or caregivers of schizophrenia patients in Da Nang city. Results: The percentage of subjects have the need to use telemedicine services in the management, treatment and care schizophrenia patients is 29,6%; 44,0% of people are unlikely to use this service and 26.4% of people have no need to participate in telemedicine services. Factors related to low demand for using telemedicine services is: Status of disease (p<0.05); and the factor contributing to the increased demand for using telemedicine services is: using a smartphone (p<0.05). Conclusion: There is still patients/primary caregivers of schizophrenia patients who do not have a need to use telemedicine services in the management, treatment and care.
