Kiến thức về chế độ dinh dưỡng và một số yếu tố liên quan của người bị tăng huyết áp đang điều trị tại Bệnh viện Đà Nẵng năm 2023

Abstract

Nutrition plays an important role in the treatment and prevention of complications caused by hypertension. Objectives: Described the knowledge about nutrition and diet of hypertensive patients being treated at Danang Hospital in 2023 and identified related factors. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from November 2022 to April 2023 on 210 hypertensive patients undergoing inpatient treatment at Danang Hospital. Convenience sampling techniques and direct interviews were implemented in the study. Results: The average score of the study subjects’ knowledge about nutrition was 20.3/23 points; the percentage of subjects with knowledge reaching is 74.8 %; the factors related to the knowledge about nutrition of people with hypertension are age group, occupation, place of residence, the source of access to information is the media (p < 0.05). Conclusion: There are still many hypertensive patients who do not have awareness about nutrition in the treatment and prevention of complications due to hypertension, so it is necessary to educate and boost knowledge about the diseases for the patients.
